Why Sunday and Not Sabbath?

Bakit nagsisimba tuwing Linggo?

When the Roman Empire entered the Church, everything Jewish were banished. To observe the Sabbath became a criminal act.
Jesus of Nazareth would have been ex-communicated from many Churches today. Will you welcome him?
It is interesting to read the cannons of the Laodicean Council (363–364 AD).  Canon 29 in particular:
 Canon 29
The Laodicean council specificially refers to the Sabbath: “Christians must not judaize by resting on the [Jewish] Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honoring the Lord’s Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema (excommunicated) from Christ.
Who do these Christian bishops think they can fool?
To demand that followers of Jesus must work on the day the Master rested, is a horrible mistake.  Jesus was raised a Torah observant Jew, who never sinned. He surely kept the Jewish Sabbath that started at sunset on Friday evenings.
How can a Church Council demand that Christians “must work on that day”?
Are they trying to mock Jesus?
Since Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, I guess no one can say He was wrong, when He kept the Jewish Sabbath?
Jesus surely do love people who have to work on Saturdays, and have to take rest in Sunday. But do we all have to work on the Sabbath by Church ordinance and law?
Cannon 37 and 38 is also interesting reading:  This new Papal rule brand the Messiah as an heretic. Since Jesus celebrated all the Jewish feasts.
 Canon 37
It is not lawful to receive portions sent from the feasts of Jews or heretics, nor to feast together with them.

Canon 38
It is not lawful to receive unleavened bread from the Jews, nor to be partakers of their impiety.
(end of Cannon)
Already in the 4th century, the official Church had become antisemitic, and completely disconnected from the faith expressed by Jesus and His apostles. They were all Jews.
What about you?

BAPTIST CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY
WE SEEK TO PUT EVERYTHING UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF GOD
Billy Graham Exposed!
Billy Graham is a Great Deceiver
Image of Texe MarrsTexe Marrs
Every time I expose darkness and subversion inside the Christian establishment, the hounds of hell come against me. Every time I unmask Satan's deceptive ministers of unrighteousness within the Christian Church--men who so cleverly disguise themselves as "Angels of Light" but, inside, are ravening wolves--the hounds of hell come against me. They show their ferocious mouths, and lust to tear out my flesh, rip my eyeballs from their sockets--anything to shut out the Truth!
Well, let the hounds come. I am ready for them, with Christ Jesus as my strength, because in this and next month's issues of Flashpoint, I'm going to tell the whole, unvarnished truth about several of the chief deceivers in our midst. I intend to sound the alarm and to cry aloud: "BEWARE, SAINTS OF GOD! THIS IS THE GREAT FALLING AWAY, PROPHESIED TO COME IN II THESSALONIANS 2."
I begin this month with an expose' of Billy Graham who, except for the Pope of Rome, is the chief deceiver in the world today.  I intend next month to examine the most recent skullduggery of Pope John Paul II, Fidel Castro's hero and the other Mary's little messenger to the world.  Then, I'll go on to take a look at some Papal underlings, like Jack Van Impe, Chuck Colson, and Hank Hanegraaf.  Also, I'll be examining the latest teachings of Kenneth Hagin, the big-wig of the charismatic "Word of Faith" heresy.
But before I begin, I warn you: If you don't want to hear the truth, STOP READING NOW.  No reason to have your comfort zone disturbed with facts, is there? Just throw away this newsletter. Tossing out this documentation will save you a lot of pain and grief. Then you can get on with your wooing of the world and your adoration of these big and famous names within the so-called "Christian Community."

Billy Graham Shamelessly Subverts the Faith

I've written about his heretical behavior before. Hundreds of Flashpoint readers have personally sent him copies of my newsletters revealing his ungodliness. But still, the man the Baptists and others believe to be their sterling and ecumenical "Evangelical Pope," continues down the path of depravity, refusing to repent.  It's bad enough that on NBC television recently, Billy Graham flippantly excused President Bill Clinton's lewd and lascivious sexual sins by declaring that, well, the man just can't help himself. Clinton is handsome and virile, said Graham, and the girls are just "wild" over him.

The San Francisco Chronicle and Examiner called
Billy Graham the "Superman of the Cloth," noting
that the evangelist has been friend of Presidents
and was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.
It's plainly the case that Graham loves the world.
But, what does the Holy Bible say?
It's bad enough, too, that in his crusade last October in San Francisco--Sodom and Gomorrah reborn--Graham announced to the homosexuals, "Whatever your background, whatever your sexual orientation, we welcome you tonight."
Earlier, at a news conference, the famed evangelist thrilled the cockles of the homosexuals' lusty hearts when he snapped to a reporter that he was tired of people trying to get him to criticize gays. "It's not the biggest of sins," Graham said.  Billy followed this up by telling the smiling and happy liberal media: "What I want to preach about in San Francisco is the love of God. People need to know that God loves them no matter what their sexual orientation."  Graham also proudly confided: "I have so many gay friends, and we remain friends."

Billy Graham "brings people together"

They--the gays and Billy Graham--do, indeed, remain friends. According to the San Francisco Chronicle & Examiner(October 10, 1997), after hearing Graham's latest milktoast sermon, Brian Jackie, a gay San Francisco Catholic, praised the evangelist. "Graham is a man of integrity," said Jackie, adding that Billy Graham always has a "positive message."  Jackie's friend, the Reverend Bill Byrd, homosexual pastor of the San Francisco Evangelical Gay Church, heartily agreed. "I have no problem with Graham's preaching," said the Reverend Byrd, "Billy Graham brings people together."

Brings people together? Yes, Billy Graham does do that--he brings the sinful tares together as one into a huge heap, ready to be burned and destroyed by the dreadful, consuming fire of the Lord at the Great White Throne Judgment. And that's exactly where Billy will be too, unless he repents. He will end up kneeling in fear before his Master, trying to con and bribe God, and bragging, "Look at all the terrific things I did in your name, Lord. I filled stadiums and wowed the public, preaching tolerance and love and Christ all together. Even the lesbians and homos loved me. I was a registered Democrat Party voter. Five Presidents of the United States invited me to stay over at the White House. Lord... Oh Lord, aren't you listening to me? Don't you remember? I was once voted in a poll as the world's most admired man. You know me, don't you? I'm Billy Frank Graham!"
Indeed, Billy Graham is possibly the world's most admired man--next to his pals Bill Clinton and Pope John Paul II, that is.  And what the popular evangelist taught on May 31, 1997, on the Reverend Robert Schuller's worldwide TV program, has no doubt endeared Mr. Graham even more to people everywhere--especially to Hindus, Buddhist, Moslems, witches, tribalists, and other false religionists.
I have personally obtained from Schuller's Crystal Cathedral Church a video and an audio-tape of Billy Graham's interview. Get ready, Christian friends, because you are about to read the exact words of Graham and Schuller, blasphemous and wicked to the hilt.  As you shall see, these are not the words of brokenhearted pastors concerned about saving the souls of the lost and eager to fulfill the Great Commission and preach Jesus crucified and Him alone. These are, instead, the lying words of vile, deceitful devils.

The Infamous May 31, 1997 Interview: Graham and Schuller
The Reverend Robert
Schuller of
California's Crystal
Cathedral interviewed
Billy Graham.
Robert Schuller: "Tell me, what do you think of the future of Christianity?"
Billy Graham: "I think everybody who knows Christ, whether they're conscious of it or not, they're members of the Body of Christ...God's purpose is to call out a people for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, Buddhist world, the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ, because they've been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus...and I think they are saved, and that they are going to be in heaven with us."
Robert Schuller (overjoyed): "What I hear you saying is that it's possible for Jesus Christ to come into human hearts and soul and life even if they've been born into darkness and never had exposure to the Bible. Is that a correct interpretation of what you are saying?"
Billy Graham: "Yes it is, because I believe that. I've met people in various parts of the world...that have never seen a Bible or heard about a Bible, and never heard of Jesus, but they've believed in their hearts that there was a God."
So, there you have it. The world's most famous evangelist teaches that no one needs Jesus to be saved and enter the Kingdom of Heaven. They're already members of the Body of Christ whether they know it or not! All they have to do is believe in a God--like one of the three million Hindu gods; or perhaps the man-god whom many Buddhists worship, the Dalai Lama; or the Moslem's Allah; or perhaps the Cosmic God of the evolutionists; or the witches' horned god, Pan; or perhaps all that people must do is believe in the New Age deity--themselves--as God!
Frankly, if Graham is right, isn't it time we just folded our tents and stopped all this foolishness of preaching? Why print Christian Bibles if the Hindu or Buddhist scriptures will suffice? If Billy Graham is right, we are certainly blowing millions of dollars on missionaries.
In fact, I can't understand why Graham himself is still going on stage to perform. Is it all ego and pretense? Why doesn't Billy just have his aides purchase a blaring, gaudy, and colorful message on thousands of billboards across the globe, declaring: "Attention Pagans, Heathens, and other Religionists: Whether you know it or not, you already have Christ within. Congratulations--you're on your way to heaven!"--signed, Yours Sincerely, Billy Graham, world-famous Christian evangelist.
Or maybe this for a billboard message: "So you don't know Jesus as Lord and have never read the Bible? Big Deal! Don't worry, be happy. You are already a Christian headed for heaven, whether you know it or not! So eat, drink, and be merry. Guess what?--You're already a member of the Body of Christ, just like me. Neat surprise, huh?" signed, With All My Love, Billy Graham.
How many thousands of sinners are going to split hell wide open, simply because they listened to that velvety-tongued apostle of ecumenicism, Billy Graham, who assures the lost, "Just believe in a God, any God, and you've made it. Jesus loves and accepts you just as you are, no need to repent and believe in the name of Jesus."
Oh yeah? Well, God's Word begs to differ. The Word says that if you believe in one God, "Thou doest well, the devils also believe and tremble." (James 2:19)
That's right. James, the brother of Jesus, told us the devils do even better than Billy Graham, Robert Schuller, and all their associates in lying. The devils actually believe in just one God, Jesus Christ! The devils know that the Hindu god, Krishna, the Moslem god, Allah, and all the other false gods have never saved one, single human soul! This is more than Billy Graham knows and teaches.
The Apostle Paul wrote that there is salvation in no other name: "For there is none other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
The Bible says that the Buddhist, the Hindu, the Moslem, the African witchdoctor, are not saved because they have never called on His Holy Name: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
These lost souls need Jesus, but Billy Graham lies to these millions of unsaved people headed for hell. He soothingly tells them they don't need the Bible, and don't need to be born again in Christ. They can continue to bow down to their wooden idols, to their statues and icons, and to their devils made of molten steel and clay. But, hold on: John 5:12 reveals: "He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life."
Thus we know that Billy Graham is a walking dead man, and all who believe in his wicked, foul message sadly remain foot soldiers in the legion of the dead. They are of the world and are dead to the Truth. But you, my friends, you who know Jesus Christ, you who contend earnestly for the faith and who refuse to accept a counterfeit Gospel--YOU ARE ALIVE AND CANNOT BE DECEIVED. YOU HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS OUR LORD: "Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God." (I John 5:12)
What are we to do about Billy Graham? Be wary now, as you ponder this question, because the hounds of hell are even now at your door. Go against Billy and his foolish fables and abominable heresies, and they'll bare their fangs and pounce on you with full force. Nevertheless, what can a saved, Christian man and woman do but obey the Word of God?
The Word commands us to stay away from he who, like Billy Graham, would pervert the doctrine of Christ Jesus and subvert the Gospel: "If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him Godspeed. For he that biddeth him Godspeed is partaker of his evil deeds" (II John vs 10-11).
Go against Billy Graham and his ilk, and the world will quickly turn against you. Even your pastor and your church friends will probably frown upon and disown you. Some will become as the hounds of hell, and they will seek to tear you to shreds.
Still, Billy Graham, having been admonished repeatedly, yet persisting in his lies, is a proven heretic. Of such, the Word of God commands: "A man that is a heretic, after the first and second admonition, reject, knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself." (Titus 3:10-11)
Finally, consider this: The Billy Grahams, the Schullers, and other deceivers now are having what they mistakenly think to be their day in the sun. The world hates and despises the truth-tellers but loves and receives its own. Jesus said of false teachers and lovers of the world: "They have their reward."
The body of man, however, is corrupt and soon withers like the once lush but brown and crumbling blades of grass. Man's riches and admiration are fleeting, and the pleasures of the flesh are but a phantom of man's unreliable imaginations.
But the Word of the Lord--how exalted, how magnificent, how life-giving! Follow its dictates and its counsel, and you will never be disappointed. The Word of Truth is not corruptible; It builds and grows. The Word was and is: "But the Word of the Lord endureth forever... "(I Peter 1:25). And Who is that Word? None other than Jesus, the name above all other names.

The SMOKESCREEN by Jack Chick

Chapter One: The Wafer-God
There are some Christians who are awake to what is going on, but there are many Christians today who believe everything is just fine. Everybody loves everybody else. The Christians, Mormons, Jews, Jehovah's Witnesses, Moslems are all serving the same God, but in different ways.
If I asked, "Can you partake of the Lord's Supper with Catholics?" They'd say, "Why not?" Let's find out if there is a difference between the Lord's Supper and the mass. Before I go on, let me explain that the bread, or wafer, used in the mass is called the host. When the host has been consecrated and offered as a sacrifice in the mass, it then becomes the eucharist. I am going to try to put into everyday language what is one of the great motivating forces behind the Roman Catholic Institution. It is the eucharist. I call it the little Jesus cookie. I know Catholics are going to be offended by this, but I can't help it. The Protestants have to realize where they stand on this thing.
Eucharist
            Catholic Twin Circle
The Roman Catholic Institution in their Canon laws state:
"If any one shall deny that the body and blood, together with the soul and divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore entire Christ, are truly, really, and substantially contained in the sacrament of the most Holy Eucharist; and shall say that He is only in it as a sign, or in a figure, let him be accursed." (Accursed means to be damned, under a curse.)
"If any one shall say that Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is not to be adored in the holy sacrament of the Eucharist,.... and that He is not to be publicly set before the people to be adored, and that His adorers are idolaters, let him be accursed!"

Photo from "The Service of Love" John Paul II
That's when, beloved, the priest walks out holding up the cookie in the monstrance, which looks like a sunburst, and people come up and kiss it and adore it. And if any Protestant would say, "Hey, that's idolatry," that Protestant is to be accursed.

Perpetual Adoration - Two Bendictine Sisters at the Convent of Perpetual Adoration kneel before the Blessed Sacrament exposed in a monstrance in the convent chapel. Whether at work or at prayer, the nuns focus their lives on Jesus present in the Eucharist.
Now, to sum this up, the Roman Catholic Institution teaches that you must believe that the bread, or host, consecrated in the mass actually becomes Jesus Christ and it is to be worshipped as God Almighty. This is why, back in 1554, a priest carrying the eucharist (the little Jesus cookie) could stand before a family of Christians in Scotland, tied to posts with dried brush up to their waists. He'd hold that piece of bread before them and ask if what he held in his hand was actually the body, blood and deity of Jesus Christ. When they said, "No, it is only a symbol," the priest's assistant placed his flaming torch into the brush and set those Bible-believers on fire. As the victims screamed in agony, the priest held up his crucifix and said, "All this is for the greater glory of God."
Cartoon - Burning at the stake
It holds firm, just as strong today, as it did in the time of the Middle Ages, that anyone who ridicules it, or says that it only represents Christ, is damned. The Vatican II Council re-affirmed this. Pope John XXIII said, "I do accept entirely all that has been decided and declared at the Council of Trent."
That Canon law is in effect today, beloved.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

The
Ten Commandments

Gods 10 Commandments Introduction

Today it is often believed by many Christians that Gods 10 Commandments were for those who lived in Old Testament times and do not apply to Christians who are under grace in the New Testament. The Bible has much to say on the subject of law and grace but even though it is true that Christians are saved by grace through faith in Christ, nowhere in the Bible does it say God's laws are not binding upon man. Keeping the commandments of the Decalogue is not the method of salvation, but the fruit of it. Obedience to God is the test of the genuine Christian.
1 John 3:4 "Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and SIN IS LAWLESSNESS."
Some say that Gods Ten Commandments were nailed to the cross of Christ: but this cannot be so. This scripture defines sin as the "breaking of God's law". You see, if the law is abolished, then so is sin and if sin is abolished, then the need of a Saviour becomes unnecessary. Why did Christ die on the cross? To save us from our sins, which are transgressions of God's law. If it were possible to do away with the law, Christ need not have died, but the fact that He was prepared to make this supreme sacrifice proves the unchanging character of God's law that shows us how to love God and man. If the Ten Commandments were nailed to the cross then love was nailed to the cross along with them. Thankfully this was not so.
Romans 3:20 "Therefore BY THE DEEDS OF THE LAW NO FLESH WILL BE JUSTIFIED in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin."
We are saved because of our faith in Jesus Christ, and not because we keep God's law. This scripture does not say it is unnecessary to keep the law, but it says we are not justified by keeping it. We are justified by the blood of Jesus. This scripture in no way says it is unnecessary to obey Gods 10 commandments.
Romans 6:14, 15 "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE. What then? SHALL WE SIN BECAUSE WE ARE NOT UNDER LAW but under grace? CERTAINLY NOT!"
We are not under the condemnation of the law because of the grace (Gods unmerited favour) of Christ. His blood covers our sins so that the law cannot condemn us. The question is asked by Paul; "Shall we sin (or break the law) because we are not under the law but under grace?" and the reply is most definite - "God forbid". God's forgiveness to us does not give license to sin.
Romans 3:31 "Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW."
Genuine Christians will not seek to break God's law, instead they establish it; uphold it and keep it. It is only as one breaks the law that he comes under the condemnation of it. For example, one is not affected by the roads speed limit law while driving, until he exceeds the limit - then he is condemned by it. Simply because we are under grace, does not give us free rein to break the law rather we are under greater obligation to keep it. We are only under grace so long as we keep the law. For example, if a prisoner is given a pardon and is released from prison, does his freedom allow him to break the law? If he does, he is no longer free. The law of the land condemns him and he goes back to prison. In the same way, God's law will condemn us when we break it.
Moses receiving the Ten Commandments.
Romans 7:7 "What shall we say then? IS THE LAW SIN? CERTAINLY NOT! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."
Paul is emphatic. There is nothing wrong with the law. In fact he says that he would not be conscious of sin without the law to show him his errors. Here Paul quotes from the 10th commandment. The Ten Commandments can be likened to a mirror. If a person with a dirty face looks in the mirror, then the mirror tells him his face is dirty - but it won't clean it for him, he needs soap and water. As we look at the Ten Commandments they show us our sins, but they do not cleanse us. We need the blood of Christ to make us clean. When we are cleansed and look into the Ten Commandments, they no longer condemn us.
Romans 7:12 "Therefore the LAW IS HOLY, and the COMMANDMENT HOLY and just and good."
God's law is perfect and cannot be faulted.
What change did take place at the cross concerning the law?
Colossians 2:14-17 "HAVING WIPED OUT THE HANDWRITING OF REQUIREMENTS that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, HAVING NAILED IT TO THE CROSS. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. So let no one judge you in FOOD or in DRINK, or regarding a FESTIVAL or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ."
The sacrificial ceremonies were fulfilled at the cross and blotted out.
An ordinance is a rite or a ceremony. In Old Testament times animal sacrifices were made, symbolising the supreme sacrifice Christ or the Messiah would make one day. There were many ceremonies that revolved around these sacrifices, such as partaking of certain foods and drinks. Why do we not offer animal sacrifices today? Because this would show we have no faith in Christ's sacrifice. Just as it is no longer necessary to shed, the blood of animals, so it is no longer necessary to partake in the ceremonial system associated with the killing of animals. Christ fulfilled the law of ceremonies. When He died, the temple veil tore in two as an indication that the temple services had come to an end. Generally speaking, the Bible does not try to differentiate between Gods 10 commandments and the law of Moses. To the Jew there was one law of God, and all details of the law were important, whether ceremonial or moral. However, the New Testament in many instances mentions specific parts of the law. This text mentions the ceremonial system, and not the moral law. Even the sabbaths mentioned were not necessarily the seventh day Sabbath of the fourth Commandment. The Jews had several ceremonial sabbaths which fell on certain dates of the year, each one occurring once a year.
THE TWO LAWS
Gods 10 Commandments stand forever but the ceremonial law was nailed to the cross.
When God led the children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage, He delivered to them in fiery majesty the Ten Commandments. This holy law was spoken by God, written by God, recorded on tables of stone, and is of eternal duration. At the same time another law, of temporary usage, was also delivered to the children of Israel. This law dealt with the ceremonial rites of the Jewish sanctuary service, and concerned itself with a system of religion that passed away at the cross. Large sections of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy describe in detail this temporary ceremonial system. This Law can easily be identified in the Scriptures. It talks about circumcision (a religious Jewish rite), sacrifices, offerings, purifications, ceremonial holy days, and other rites associated with the Hebrew sanctuary service.
To the unbiased reader of God's Word, it becomes more than clear that Gods Ten Commandments are binding upon all men for all time in every place, whereas no man is bound to keep the Ceremonial Law that was fulfilled in Christ. The Ceremonial Law with its sacrificial system pointed God's people to the coming of Christ. Every time the blood of a beast was shed in the old Jewish temple, it was a dramatic reminder to the onlooker that One would come and die for his sin. Hence, John the Baptist pointed to our Lord and declared the significant words, "Behold the Lamb of God". See also the Ten Commandments and the Ceremonial lawGalatians and the law and Colossians 2:16.
Continued top right...
When Jesus died on the cross of Calvary, the veil of the great temple curtain was torn from top to bottom, to signify the entire ceremonial system was forever finished. (See Matthew 27:50-51). No longer did the priests need to offer sacrifices. The One great and perfect Sacrifice was offered that Friday afternoon, when the true Passover Lamb bowed His head and died. When Jesus cried out, "It is finished", the old Ceremonial Law that pointed the people to His sacrificial death was nailed to the cross. But NOT SO with The Ten Commandments. There was nothing temporary about any of Gods 10 Commandments. They are to last as long as heaven and earth.
Jesus said the Ten Commandments are here to stay.
Matthew 5:17-19 "DO NOT THINK THAT I CAME TO DESTROY THE LAW or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore BREAKS ONE OF the least of THESE commandments, and teaches men so, shall be CALLED LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
Jesus certainly did not have any intentions of making any change, in fact, He condemned men who taught that it was in order to break God's law, and commended those who taught the necessity of keeping it. See also the meaning of Jesus fulfilling the law.
THE BIBLE TEN COMMANDMENTS
Exodus 24:12 "Then the Lord said to Moses, "Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the LAW AND COMMANDMENTS WHICH I HAVE WRITTEN, that you may teach them."
Exodus 31:18 "And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, TABLETS OF STONE, WRITTEN WITH THE FINGER OF GOD."
The Ten Commandments were written with God's own finger.
The whole Bible has been written by man, yet inspired by God. The Ten Commandments, however, were written by God Himself. Surely He must have regarded them very highly.
Where were the Ten Commandments located?
Exodus 25:16 "And you shall put INTO THE ARK THE TESTIMONY which I will give you."
A small box called the "Ark", which was situated in the sanctuary, was the resting place of the Ten Commandments. The law of Moses was placed in the "SIDE" of the ark. The Ten Commandments are often referred to as the "testimony".
The Ten Commandments were placed in the Ark.
The Ten Commandments are recorded in full in Exodus 20:3-17. See what are the Ten Commandments or the brief list below:
1. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2. You shall not make unto thee any graven image.
3. You shall not take the name of the Lord God in vain.
4. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
5. Honour your father and your mother.
6. You shall not murder.
7. You shall not commit adultery.
8. You shall not steal.
9. You shall not bear false witness.
10. You shall not covet.
The first four commandments deal with our love to God, and the last six deal with our love for our fellowman. They can be divided into these two sections. There is one underlying principle behind these commands - "LOVE". In these commands we see a transcript of God's character: "God is love". At first they may appear to be a list of don'ts, but when a Christian is motivated by love, he wants to please God and love his fellowman.
James 2:8-12 "If you really fulfill the ROYAL LAW according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever shall KEEP THE WHOLE LAW, AND YET STUMBLE IN ONEPOINT, HE IS GUILTY OF ALL. For He who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so do as those who will be JUDGED BY THE LAW OF LIBERTY."
There is no virtue in keeping 9 instead of 10 commandments. If a man is hanging from a great height by a chain with ten links, and only one link breaks, he falls. The strength of the chain is dependent on its weakest link. If we willingly break one of Gods Ten Commandments, we are as guilty as if we break them all. True, we are not saved by keeping the law, but this scripture shows we will be judged by it. If Jesus reigns within, He will give us the strength to keep His law.
Psalm 111:7-8 "The works of His hands are verity and justice; all His precepts are sure. THEY STAND FAST FOREVER AND EVER, and are done in truth and uprightness."
Revelation 14 says that Gods people in the last days will keep God's Commandments.
Gods Ten Commandments are eternal.
Revelation 14:12 "Here is the patience of the saints; HERE ARE THOSE WHO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD and the faith of Jesus"
God's last people on earth before the end of time are commandment keepers. There is no thought that the law is abolished, instead they establish it.
Hebrews 8:10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will PUT MY LAWS IN THEIR MIND AND WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
God will write His law on our hearts.
In the New Testament age we no longer need the Bible Ten Commandments on stone. We have something better. Those who are led by the Spirit have these laws written in their minds and on their hearts. This is the promise of the New Covenant. They are firmly established in the Christian way of life. See also the Ten Commandments in the New Testament.
Hebrews 5:9 "And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation TO ALL WHO OBEY HIM."
We are not saved because we are obedient - but because we are saved, we are obedient.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, FOR THIS IS MAN'S ALL."
Jesus said in John 14:15 "IF YOU LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS."
The test of love is obedience. Friend, do you love Jesus enough to obey Him? Remember, He loved you enough to die for you. His plea to you today is to keep His Ten Commandments. They are not grievous - in fact to keep them, will keep you out of trouble in this life, and bring you happiness. God's way of willing obedience is the best way, and if Jesus is supreme in your life, He will give you the strength to keep all Gods 10 Commandments.
Those who love Jesus will keep His Commandments.

The TRUE CHRISTIAN

  BAPTIST CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY

What Is a True Christian?

How to discern True Christianity from False Doctrine

1. True Christianity must line up with the Bible, the word of God. True Christianity pronounces Jesus Christ to be the Son of God and believes that He is the only way to salvation and forgiveness.
2. True Christianity will be rejected by the vast majority. This has always been the case throughout history. In Noah's time only 8 people were saved in the whole world. In Lot's time only Lot and his family were saved in two cities. The Bible says that our time will be similar to Noah and Lot's time so it is very likely that the percentage of people saved could be similar.
3. True Christianity will be considered radical by most people. Jesus, the apostles and the prophets were considered radical. The Bible says that Christians are a peculiar people.
4. True Christianity will boldly rebuke and hate evil to such a large extent that those who preach the truth will greatly upset those who are evil. Those who preach truth will suffer persecution as a result.
5. True Christianity will be controversial and cause divisions (Luke 12: 51,52). To cause these divisions major change would have to occur in someone's life which would upset others.
6. True Christianity will testify that almost everything that almost everyone does is evil.
7. True Christianity will be about true love, which is sharing and caring for others, where the main focus is to proclaim or aid the proclamation of the Gospel.
8. True Christianity will not be conformed to the world by accepting or desiring materialism, money and commercialism as a good thing or a part of life.
9. True Christianity will not be able to be proved wrong, although people may appear to make it sound untrue by arguing against it by using false statements.
10. True Christianity will not be deceptive or misleading or cause people to believe a lie. It will be about honesty and truth. People today are saying misleading things such as

that the church is fine. They say that people are getting healed everywhere and saying that they are healed when they are not. This could be compared to a dishonest salesman who says something is great when it does not work in order to get people to accept their product or system.
11. True Christianity is positive about good things and doing God's will, but it hates evil. It is not like the mainstream that is positive about many evil things. Saying that something evil is good is only leading people to do evil. Many people say that things are fine and that many people are being saved and doing God's will when this is not true. This is only suppressing the fact that the world is almost totally evil and causing people not to repent.
12. True Christianity has the fruits of commitment to doing God's will and it will follow the historical example of those who did God's will such as Jesus, the Apostles and the Prophets. Using your time and money to do God's will is the purpose of life. The majority don't do God's will by working for the corrupt system or spending their money and time on unnecessary things.
Where does this leave the mainstream Church and the millions of people who think they are Christians. Although the mainstream churches have a lot of true Bible teaching, it appears that they probably will not fit into the category of the minority of saved believers. Therefore, they may be rejected and considered lukewarm if they don't repent.
The Bible promises that God will help His chosen people who obey Him by answering their prayers and leading them. However, curses are promised to people that disobey God. (Duet 28). Obedient people should therefore receive a greater percentage of desirable outcomes and a lower percentage of undesirable outcomes than the ungodly. God should help His people to think or work more efficiently, remember better, make the correct decisions, and find what they need with less frustrating problems, inconveniences or accidents than unbelievers. Please let me know if you know of anyone who can produce the evidence that they are obviously led and helped by God so that the result cannot be explained by imagination and the laws of probability. I know that the Bible promises trials and persecution, but it indicates that there should be divine help as well, as explained attruechristianity.com .
There are many debatable doctrines that I am not sure of. However, I am willing to believe and practice them if someone can show me and produce the evidence that these doctrines are what God really wants us to believe. If someone is obviously led and helped by God as explained in the previous paragraph, there would be a good chance that their beliefs would be fully correct. We are yet to meet anyone who can produce the evidence that God is pleased with them and helping them.
